As a club trying to push the boundaries why don't the owners do this? 1 hour before the game starts get a half decent band to play a set. The owners have the money to do this, it would add to the overall entertainment and we might sell a few more tickets. Has this ever been done?

Don't talk about giggs, oh erm

I'm more than happy with the current approach of trying to give new and up coming acts a forum. There have been some decent turns on IMO over the years. Tie the short set in with the supporting guests and I think City square is one of the areas that needs little tweaking.

I would prefer it if they just showed the 12.45ko, when we're playing at 3.

Felt so sorry for the band yesterday, hardly anyone watching due to the awful weather. They sounded pretty good too.

City Square needs a retractable roof. Hope this is considered when the North Stand is redeveloped.

Be good on "big" occasions to get some superstar city fans doing a secret set (Johnny Marr, Noel G, Doves..) but overall I like that unsigned and up and coming artists get a shout.

There's a band called Colour who have played a few times. Really good and I only came across them because of their set at City Sq.

Music and football don't mix. I've never forgiven MCFC for ruining the Last game at Maine Road with those idiotic performances after. Which clown thought that was a good idea?

Maybe not for you, but nobody is forced to watch, having up and coming bands playing at City Square works for a lot of people.

Its pretty well unique in England, and quite a few people who've been with me think its an excellent idea pre match.

The formula of City Square works very well for younger folk victor :)
