Religion

Kids leave school with no practical knowledge, they can't wire a plug or put up a shelf. They can barely make toast. They don't get educated about pensions, investments or the tax system, or how government operates, or how global economy works.
But we choose to ram religion down their throats as if it's normal to believe in something that clearly doesn't exist, or at best is extremely questionable.
Something is wrong here.
A long held argument of mine. My niece left school at 18 with a shit load of A levels. I asked her what compound interest was, she had no idea. I asked here the difference between capital gains tax and income tax, she was struggling, I asked her what endowment meant, No idea. Not her fault of course.

Every apprentice I've been lucky enough to have under my wing over the years have been the same. Not a clue.
I'm proud that every one of them has a personal pension, which I helped them set up.
