No team has a paticularly easy run in except perhaps Liverpool, but they are relying on all 3 of the other teams slipping up which is unlikely. If we can get a result from the Everton game then we are in a great position for the next 3, surely looking at 9 points form them leading upto the 4 difficult games that will no doubt decide our fate.

Got to win our next four. That should give us the breathing space to afford the inevitable slip up somewhere.

I think a point wouldn't be a disaster on Wednesday if we went on to win our next 3. Everton are in fantastic form. I think 0 points from United and Arsenal would be a blow, we really need to pick up a suprise win there i think. Unless ofcourse we beat BOTH Villa and Spurs at home, but that won't be the easy. I am expecting atleast 1 draw there in all honesty.

There have been so many bizarre results thrown up that I don't even think it is worth bothering about who has a supposedly easier or harder run in. I'd have sworn Villa were going to have a great weekend with us at Fulham and Spurs at Stoke but quite the opposite happened and as for Liverpool, no fixtures are easy for them because they are just pretty shit.

i tell you what. if sunderland pick up any points in the next 3 games they are doin us a favour. can you imagine them losing all those games.

I'd be surprised if they lost all 3.

City P9 W5 D3 L1 = (71) pts
Spurs P8 W4 D3 L1 = (70)
Liverpool P7 W5 D2 L0 = (68)
Villa P9 W4 D3 L2 = (65)

The Spurs game is now THE key game, in my view. It's us against them for 4th I reckon and the outcome of that game is therefore critical.

If we beat Spurs at home, I reckon we will only need 69 points. If we draw with them, we'll need 70 and if we lose to them, 72

So if we can beat Spurs, we can afford to drop 3 points elsewhere and still win it.

8 points from the next 4 games would still have us in a very very strong position, needing only another 8 points from the remaing 5 games.

Here's my prediction:

CITY
Everton Home 1 54
Wigan Home 3 57
Burnley Away 1 58
Birmingham Home 3 61
Man Utd Home 1 62
Arsenal Away 0 62
Villa Home 3 65
Spuds Home 3 68
West Ham Away 1 69

SPUDS
Portsmouth Home 3 58
Sunderland Away 3 61
Arsenal Home 1 62
Chelsea Home 0 62
Man Utd Away 0 62
Bolton Home 3 65
City Away 0 65
Burnley Away 3 68

You can change the City-Birmingham and City-Everton results around if you like. We need a win and a draw from those 2, either way around.

.

I reckon Villa are still right in it and the match against them could easily be as important tbh. That run of matches for Spurs against the top 3 is crucial. If things don't go well for them in those games then they could be more or less out of it by time they come to Eastlands.

It's something I have been messing about with for a while.

I have us and Spuds both on 65 points going into the game between us on 5th May. With dippers on 64 and Villa on 62 on that day.

If this comes true, we'll be needing a draw at West Ham on the last day to clinch it. My GOD that would be exciting!!! :-)

I think its good to know that there is no easy games around any more... and I really like Mancinis approach of taking one game at a time... as human I like to see the bigger picture and calculate and do all kinds of maths around how things will turn up but for me this season its ONE game at a time... I can't afford to look further... my emotions run high as it is... I'm totally thrilled that we are in the run for 4th place... but I can not afford to look to far ahead...

This season has been so great in so many ways... just read on OS that we have scored the most goals away ever in Prem League... we are close to our best result point wise ever... we are the hardest team to beat in the league and we have not been beaten home yet and hasn't been beaten home for a year now... things really are so truly great its almost incomprehensible... for years we have had a tough road to walk as fans but this year everything has changed... we are looking to a bright future to be blue... but for now i'm happy to look at ONE game at a time... so COME ON CITY beat Everton

Mancini looks to have sorted our defence out quite a lot and I feel we are much more solid than under Hughes meaning I think we are much harder to beat I said all year I didn't think we would lose an Home game and I still don't think we will Everton(1 point see a draw)
Wigan(3points we will beat because there shit)
Birmingham(3 points we will also beat these over achievers)
Man Utd (3 points we will beat the scum because we are at home and we raise our game)
Villa (3 points again because we will need to win)
Spurs (3 points because we must surely be due a win against them)

Win our home game we are home and dry

Away games
Burnley 3 points
Arsenal 0 points think they we be up for this
West Ham depends on the situation if they need a win to stay up it will be very hard to win so I go draw

73 points its easy just working it out on a sheet tho eh we all know all 4 teams will drop silly points just like Villa at home to wolves one good think is we don't lose many games come on blues!!!

They wont be, because their games against the top 3 coincide with our 2 games against the top 2. We'll both come out of those games with just 1 or 2 points, and it will be as we were, only with Liverpool and Villa closer to us.

would it be silly of me to believe that we can get 3 points from every remaining fixture, thus finish on 80 points? :)

though a long shot, we know we can be beat any team in the league...just need tevez to continue to have a blinder!

I reckon we'll beat united.
