Remember, remember the 9th of November

I was in the north stand too... the roar for that Anelka goal was something else. More than fosters double somehow. Pure shock/surprise/passion... Chills watching it back

One of my favourite atmospheres, booing/whistling the scum every time they had the ball.
I've never known booing and whistling like it, if I remember rightly they was last off the pitch warming up and the abuse they got made my hairs stand on end. Just remember when anelka scored I couldn't even say anything as I was rooted to the spot with emotion, was very strange.

Interviewed by French TV before the game . Being effluent in most languages I explained that they wore red and were Wellington, we wore blue and thus Napoleon and today the French would win Waterloo. Pathetic I know, but it pleased the foreign chappies no end.
You're obviously not fluent in English then. You actually said shit. Very funny

For some reason I can’t fathom now, I was in the Maine Stand that day. It must have been my last game in the Maine Stand. Remember wondering how the hell Goater had done that from there ?

As soon as Goater takes it off Nevillle's foot in the corner (1:45 ish), there's a guy in a white jacket towards the top left of the screen in the temporary seating who stands up immediately, i was a couple of rows behind him i remember (cos he got very excited very quickly). Happy day that.

He took me to this game, I'm the kid next to him that stood up most of the game!

10 years old, this was the first time in my life we beat them lot. I will remember it for the rest of my life. What a special day that was! Wasn't there but I remember me, my Dad and maybe only around 3 other Blues in a pub full of reds haha

I was in the corner between the Kippax and Platt Lane, think seats were on scaffolding thought the thing was coming down when Goater scored
I was in the mini Gene Kelly next to Platt Lane that day as well. And same as yourself,I was convinced that the whole stand would collapse each time City scored. How those thin metal tubes managed to support all those ecstatic Blues jumping around remains a mystery to me. Great atmosphere and great day all round.

Berkovic was incredible that game.
That was a great side we had in 2002/3 - before Keegan lost the plot and brought in all his ex-England/Liverpool cronies to replace the spine of the team.
Swapping Goater, Berkovic and Benarbia for Fowler, Sinclair and McManaman is fucking appalling decision making, however you look at it.
Still one of my favourite derbies that one, even after our recent years of dominance playing the rags.
