Remembrance Sunday

Sir Keir Starmer will attend Armistice Day commemorations in France today - the first UK leader to do so since Winston Churchill joined General de Gaulle in 1944.

Have to say I’m absolutely shocked by that statistic. Nice one Starmer - and Macron for inviting
 
Gawd knows. Probably is a reason and it’s not a snub. TBF Charles de Gaulle is the one you’d have expected to snub everyone else.
As a rule the British PM attends D.Day commemorations in France and as you'd expect attends our armistice day, plus that they often clash so it's a no brainer where the Prime Minister should be.
