somebody went a bit over the top today, but I hope there is still room for healthy dissent and skepticism.
Nice try. Read the code. Dissent and "skepticism" have nowt to do with it.

Uh yeah thanks for the invitation to read the code.

Please remember to treat fellow posters with respect. Treat others as you'd expect to be treated. If you are constantly aggressive and confrontational on here you'll get banned.

I was trying find where the line is being drawn here. We're allowed to have fun, we're allowed to say, "yeah right", we're allowed to send the "genuine" WUMs packing with a flea in their ear, aren't we? sustained personal attacks, not good. debate, dissent, banter, good? It's all a bit vague, that's all, and the code doesn't really clear it up. If we took it at it's word, then a good portion of the conversations on this board would be clear transgressions.

IMO The code is too vague on this point. t'would be much better for the code to clearly state that sustained, or distasteful personal attacks are not acceptable. today's numpty and his kind would be clearly nixed. the rest is gravy, isnt it?

We should refrain from cyber-pshyocopath rantings whenever we disagree with each other. The line between banter and twatzoidery seems pretty clear to me. The cure is to behave in cyberspace in the same way that we behave towards each other in the real world. That is neither vague nor difficult.

people arent always that special to each other in real life.

oh i give up, everyone else sees a line and calls it common sense, poor old autistic-spectrum me sees a grey area and demands clarification.
