You did say that.I didn't say he said anything about him not being from Manchester. I know Joe is from Shrewsbury too. My point was about why Micah is being singled out for hatred when despite not being a city native or 'original fan', he has always pushed our cause. Have I missed something about him making these jokes? Genuine question
Over the years he’s claimed to support Leeds, Villa, City & Arsenal, the modern day Paul NolanActually, born in Birmingham, raised/Grew up in Leeds, spent his youth playing in Oldham’s academy, then City’s, but became an Arsenal fan because he was a fan of Ian Wright. He’s really mixed up isn’t he?
You did say that.
Also he’s made a joke of it on a league of their own, on CBS, on sky and in his podcast with Shearer and Lineker. That’s everything he does. He’s been caught cheering on Arsenal on numerous occasions.
I don’t hate him, I just don’t think he’s a good ambassador for the club due to the above. I actually like the fella just fine.
If your one ambassador on TV is frequently jesting, or conversely being wound up about not being a blue and actually supporting our title rivals, it’s an embarrassment to the club as far as I’m concerned. Is that pushing our cause?
Anyway don’t worry about it mate, we all have different opinions, I just don’t think he’s a good representative of the club or our fans like others are for their respective clubs.
Is he though? He's arsenal first, I can respect someone who sticks with his boyhood club (carra), but I would say hes city after that, him winding up Rooney recently showed that.
Other suggestions maybe nedhum, joleon.
Lee Dixon is the weirdest one because allegedly he was blue as a kid. Which is why it irks me when he's openly biased against us.
Plus his sitting posture is amazing. You hardly ever see him slouch.Yeah, Joe Hart would be a good choice, intelligent, refined, articulate, knows his stuff, i like him ....
...fancy appointing someone like Jack Grealish as your clubs ambassador, lol ?? He'd have all his clients in the nearest pub or club with him at the first opportunity !
Is he though?
Is he really?
Cos I remember him dancing and singing with the PSG fans after they knocked arsenal out of the Champions League.
He’s a clown and is about as loyal as a dead goldfish.

To intelligent for those fukersI wish Nedum could get a gig on Sky/TNT ....so articulate

Remember Henry saying he would never wear a Spurs shirt for all the tea in China. whilst Micah said he would wear the rag rag if the money was rightIs he though?

At least he played for them his entire career. (Still a ****)Imagine being a City supporter as a kid and then end up loving the rags. Horrendous!
sucks up to flavour of the month. Joe or Nedum would be fantastic. At least he played for them his entire career. (Still a ****)
Why is Birmingham born Micah simping for Arsenal.
Agree.Last thing we need is a court jester.Great post.
On TV, Micah Richards is consistently treated like the cheeky little brother – loud, daft, and not to be taken too seriously. The problem is, this subconsciously mirrors exactly how a lot of the football media still treats Manchester City as a club. Henry, Neville, Carragher, Keane and the rest can switch between banter and serious analysis and are respected accordingly. Micah, by playing the joker role, reinforces the idea that we’re the ‘flashy upstarts’ who can be fun to have around but aren’t quite at the same level when it comes to real stature. It’s the same old “you can play, but it’s still our game and our rules” attitude.
If we had a more commanding media presence – someone like Vincent Kompany, for example – who carries genuine authority and isn’t content to just entertain, we might finally be taken as seriously as the red cartel is online and on tv. As long as Micah is our main TV face, that little brother perception will linger, and it doesn’t help the club at all.
Of course that’s my view.
I’m sure he’s a good lad to have around on a night out - but club ambassador and our main tv rep, it’s a big no from me.
He's geninely intelligent, insightful and well spoken in a way that few commentators are. Most seem to have failed primary school English. We wuz robbed, etc.I wish Nedum could get a gig on Sky/TNT ....so articulate

Hasn't Nedum said previously that he doesn't want to be tied into one of the major UK broadcasters so it might be his choice to stay more independent.I wish Nedum could get a gig on Sky/TNT ....so articulate
Joe Hart does always come across as someone who speaks highly of the club, no bad feeling towards Micah at all but feel he tries to be a clone of Chris Kamara who everyone loves and laughs at
