Replica Kits

The home one was horrible to wear last season, the collar on the away one always annoyed me too!

This seasons are really comfy, i bet the players are pretty happy about that.

how would you have any idea what this seasons are like. they have not been released yet

no where near as a difinitive answer but

When I played at Burden Park (When they were moving and not when they were really shit in the old 4th) you got to wear the propper shirts and they were a lot thicker/durable than the replica ones the notlob fans had

because i've got the away shirt. I got it off someone who got given it by umbro but it didn't fit them.

i always wondered why in the second stint we had with Le Coq that in the first season the goalkeepers Le Coq logo on the player 'official shirts' was visible top of the left chest yet the replica goalkeeper had a different version without the logo upper chest

did they ever sell the same kit or stick with the different version?

????

With regard to those keepers shirts, I think they were different to the replicas, because those shoulder patches didn't have the "This is our City" logo on the players shirt either, I don't think. They appeared to be plain. So I think those GK shirts were different to the replicas.

And thanks for the kind comments. I'm a bit of a shirt enthusiast really and only sold most of my collection to fund house improvements etc. I regret selling some of them now!!

When i went on the City Stadium tour i asked the tour guide 'Do the players get a new shirt every game, do they just walk into the changin room on match day and its hanging on the coat hanger ready to be worn'?
He said the players are issued with 10 shirts a season and that yes the kits are regularly washed and replaced ready for match day. This was in the 05/06 era so it was the reebok kit, the player allocation of shirts could have changed while with LCS and now with Umbro.

You the chap that got it for £56 on ebay?

I've got a match worn fernandes shirt from last season i got at auction. My mother decided she would wash it so i where it anyway now.
the only real differences being that the material on the inside of the shirt doesnt have the little bobbles, its completely flat! Also the badges stitching on the underside has material heat sealed on to it or something similar. For some reason it is heavier but feels much classier on. The player isssue lettering is also thicker and wider than replica shirts but is still plasticy in texture but felt!
