I really can't see much changing, how do you prevent a brainwashed man carrying out a attack... they could beef up security on Tubes and then it'll just be Pubs or Clubs targetted - we're lucky our security services have prevented many attacks but it's only a matter of time before the next one.

Without 24/7 surveillance on every Muslim combined with a restriction and monitoring of all internet traffic then it is next to impossible to 'do anything about' the so called lone wolf, especially when they are British born (as it's not like you can stop them coming in to the country).

So as with every single one of these threads, it is how much one values personal freedoms against how threatened society feels as a whole.

You're still more likely to die falling down the stairs than you are to be caught up in a terrorist attack though. It just wouldn't be news worthy.

Agreed. We have been down the 'locking up without trial' road before in 1971 with internment in Northern Ireland. It increased violence, increased terrorist numbers and made moderate Catholic's ineffective.

Leaving aside people's rights etc it's basically a dumb fucking idea.
