What happens if the new manager doesn't win nowt in his first yr. Should we sack him.
Depends on the manner in which we go about not winning something and how far we get in the cups. If we challenge for the title, get to the FA Cup final and CL semi-finals with a great exciting style of football and real desire and effort shown all season by the squad...that'll be a hugely different story than not even remotely challenging for anything, playing well for about ten minutes in total at home in the CL out of 360minutes and having one decent away performance in Rome, getting knocked out of the domestic cups by teams 20 places below us and showing some appalling form that Stoke and West Ham would be only just about content with from New Year onwards as well as playing some really slow and boring football.

Let's be honest, any good manager would be an improvement on Pellegrini.
- Our high line defending (with a very AVERAGE press) is almost suicidal.
- Constant changes to the defence.
- Not a thought for the strengths of the opposition.
- Slavish obedience to 4-4-2 when we clearly don't have the players for it.
- Plan's B, C and D are non existent,
- Like for Like subs generally.

We had by far the best squad in the Prem last season - yet only just scraped home. This season has been a slow motion car crash due to the Manager's tactics AND the fact that 5 key members of our squad (YaYa, Nasri, Dzeko, Navas & Kompany) have either not turned up or have played very very poorly (even the man, Zabaleta, has been off-colour till recently). Poor play by the players isn't his fault but to continue playing the feckers when all evidence indicates what will happen if he does is crackers.

I happen to believe that Ancelotti will go back to PSG. But to say he wouldn't be an improvement on Pellers is laughable.
Indeed.

I actually don't think he will become our manager though.

Damn. Could have done with coming good a bit earlier.
