Resident Evil REmake Remake in HD

Excited for this, will pick it up on PC. I just hope they don't mess about with the voices, they're the best bit.

This is why Resi went to shit, for the record. These type of Call of Duty fans that they wanted to grab a bit of action from, when the sales from them blew up. It's also why every game out there now has to be a "free roaming action-adventure" when that could literally mean any game outside of Tetris

I remember one Resident Evil that had fog, a big house and noises from things that you couldn't see until they were nearly in your face. Properly scary. That one? Looks like a pile of steaming shite.

Well it sold well enough and paved the way for all the other zombie games so it couldnt have been so bad, and it was 20 years ago. The video was from RE2 that someone had played about with so it was in a FPS view just to demonstrate what could be done, not thi new one.
The gameplay was just how it was back in the early 90's. some people just enjoy the slower gameplay and suspense, it doesnt mean theyre twats or weakminded.

I don't think people have quite realized, but this game is a HD Update of the GameCube Remake, which was quite a good game.

Silent Hill has always been better at survival horror than Resi, but Resi was fun in it's own way. For what it's worth, I have this Remake in 1080p running on a GameCube emulator on my PC. Still a lot of fun, but in fairness, a lot of people were getting fed up with the 'Turret' style of gameplay synonymous with Resi 1 through 0 (Yes, the prequel to the first was the last game with this gameplay).

Resi 4 is often held up as one of the greatest games in the series, and whilst it did lack in puzzles I believe it made up for it with stuff like treasure hunting, gun upgrading, mercernary mode. People seem to think the game isn't scary but I can think of plenty of things that shit me up, including the single most scary thing in Resi, The Regenerator.
