RESTAURANT SUGGESTIONS PLEASE IN MANCHESTER

Gaucho unless you don't like steak, probably the best i've had albeit expensive. Not the best restaurant though if your going for the whole experience. Quite a lot to choose from - Chaophraya, Vermilion, The French. Failing that Michael Caine's is the most awarded.

I've never had a bad meal at Harpers on ridgefield, or you could go to Aumbry in Prestwich excellent food if a tad overpriced.

It looks like Gaucho or San Carlo - thanks for all (or most) of the suggestions.

Both good. I'd go for San Carlo.

But you should book as soon as you know when your going. Not sure about Gaucho as I've only been once, but San Carlo does get booked up most evenings.

I've bboked a table for mid Feb ( after the derby) and couldn't get in until 9.30pm.

Good luck. there's some great food to be had in Manchester - it's criminal that we have no michelin stars yet.

You'll be lucky to get in San Carlo now. And you're just as likely to see Roberto in Don Giovani's.

Three of the best,

Rosso or Stock

Evuna, a Spanish wine merchants and Restaurant on Deansgate near the Hilton. Quick cocktail in Cloud 23 in the Hilton and one minute walk.

But the best food is at Lounge Ten on Tib Lane. Very cosy and classy but get off the ground floor. All require a booking and you won't go wrong in any.

Yeah Eugene owns it and Felix has retired now, get a few legends in there IMO the friendliest restaurant I've ever know. Great place never lets you down.
