Yes he is still adapting to life in England and the PL.

but i feel he needs to be rested until we have players that will put the ball into the box, which is what he thrives on.

Could this not have gone in the main thread?

OP is spot on the money, dzeko is a great talent but until we have players that can deliver quality crosses we wont see the best of him.Rest him go back to 5 in midfield especially away from home.

Ever since Mancini has taken over I've yet to see us play with width and put in crosses. We've always played narrow, short passing football through the middle.

That's even with a fully fit Adam Johnson playing too.

He needs more than a rest, he needs a kick up the arse and a lesson in ball control.

As much as I hate to say it, I think the term is "dropped", not rested in Edin's case.

Its calle 'squad rotation'. Dzeko has been no worse than any of the other forwards, recently.

Recently. But at this moment in time, I would rather revert back to the 4-5-1 formation with Tevez up top. Trying something new at this ridiculously late stage of the season against something that has been proven to work is outrageous. Don't get me wrong, I love Dzeko and have the feeling that he can score as many/more than Tevez. But like I said, I think Mancini knows the new formations aren't working, and is subsequently dropping Dzeko.

Praying Edin proves me wrong tomorrow and scores a hatful.

He was embarrasing at Kiev.

In his defence the service he got, sorry the non service he got does help his case.
