Resting Dzeko

Dzeko is an out and out goalscorer who thrives on crosses whipped in at pace.If that's not the way we play, why the fuck did we buy him?

Or are you happy what you saw in Kiev from Tevez and Balotelli?

wrong ...just simply wrong

he is the third order striker behind tevez and balotelli and rightfully so.

I know he doesnt fit into the system we are playing at the moment but dzeko is no where near as good as tevez is at the present moment, and balotelli looks to have far more potential than dzeko

At the moment he doesnt suit our style of play. No wingers getting good ball into the box on the whole so far he offers less than Ade did I would rather have a Ade type of player over Dzeko until we get 2 top class wingers in to play on the wings.

Looking at your post count and username I'm reckoning you are a Dzeko fan rather than a City fan. So your opinion may be a little biased.

From what I saw the other night both Edin and Mario could learn a lot from Carlos re workrate. I think Tevez has turned himself into a top striker through hard work and endeavour. He's switched on for most of the 90 mins.

Conversely Balotelli flitted in and out while Dzeko seemed not to want to get hurt. Several times a bit more balls and he would have come away in posession rather than losing it.

Both are good players but same way to go before they get to start in front of Tevez.

Spot on.

Some people prefer Dzeko to Balotelli some prefer Balotelli to Dzeko thats just a matter of opinion but neither are as good as Tevez, thats a fact.

Personally I would say Dzeko is the worst striker in the squad at the moment based on current form.

This thought crossed my mind, too. There must have been some notion behind the scenes that Edin was another piece in the Mancini/MCFC 5000piece jigsaw, but he will never adapt to life in the PL if he parks his arse on a bench!

I said "At this Moment" and at this time Dzeko is the best of 3. Balotelli let the Team down in Kiev, Tevez is 2 weeks underpreforming.

However, ok, your opt, but aint a fact.

Lets talk about this in 3 Months again.

Current form? Our last 6 games:
Balotelli: 2 goals
Tevez: 1 goal
Dzeko: 3 goals

Not that I am arguing that any of our strikers are in-form, claiming Dzeko is the worst is just not true. According to the stats and on what I have seen, Tevez is the least in-form striker we have. His decision making is wrong, his passing is poor, his touch isn't great.

How did Balotelli let us down in kiev? he was 10x better than Dzeko in the first half, Dzeko was non existant. I'm guessing you're blaming him for having to go off? Can't blame the guy for having an allergic reaction, Its not his fault.
When ever Dzeko got the ball he lost it, I watched the game in the pub where everyone stood up and gave dzeko a surcastic round of applause when he finally managed to pass the ball... that 1 time.

Dzeko has done nothing worth noting since he arrived. he got a couple of tap ins against crap teams, other than that he disapears, he wanders around the pitch, he cant control the ball, he cant pass, he cant dribble. From what hes shown so far, Dzeko is not good enough for this league he was better suited in germany where the game is slower and less physical.

We're stuck with him for now and I hope he can adapt to the game, I hope he can score 20/30 goals a season but I cant see it. When he plays he looks extremely similar to samaras.
