Resting Players ?

It's the holistic approach.the players now decide when and where they want to play.Amything to keep them happy after all they are only after the money and a nice manager to look after them.

and Messi, Ronaldo play every game and don't say they don't cos the fuxkers score EVERY game

Aye but Aguero has history, so if he gets a knock or isn't quite right, why not rest him. Or would you rather risk
further damage.

no im saying why not play him when it does matter and rest him when it doesn't, in training

But if we play him and he does more damage that keeps him out for a lot longer, you then moan, well
Pellegrini knew he had a knock, why play him.

Aguero wasn't "rested" he went off in the united game with a knock, check the footage, limped off, spoke to the medical staff, and went down the tunnel for treatment, didn't look serious, but it was still a knock.

Correct ,he missed today's game because of a minor injury and not because of being rested. He didn't train fully in the week so it's no surprise.

It is to some. I said it at the game last week, when he went off, he;d got a knock, he pulled up, and I thought he signalled to the bench. The game was well won, so it was a sensible decision, as was not playing him today.

I have my doubts he'll even be available on Wednesday, I hope he is.

If we need Aguero to beat a midtable team without their 2 best players (Benteke and Agbolahon) then we are absolutely rubbish, and have no business thinking about the league.

It was simply an unfortunate freak game. Kompany and Nastasic combined to cockup the final goal and it did us in.

I don't agree with resting players in league games and keeping them for the CL, winning the league should always be more important than having a run in the CL.
The way other clubs have strengthened means there could very easily be the likes of us, Utd, Chelsea or Arsenal missing out on top 4 and thus missing out on the CL anyway, i'd hate us to turn into Arsenal where as long as we qualify for the CL every season then that's looked on as a good season.

i didnt know he had a knock, did he have a knock V Stoke also ? i just want to know if players are rested just for a rest why not let them rest in the week for a day and play them when it matters

Aguero is injured not rested, he's been injured all week.

and the 2nd goal as well. Kompany put in a weak tackle and lost the ball followed by Nasti giving a silly free kick away.
