Retail Death Pool

William Hill's are in the shit apparently. They bought out Stanley's a few years ago with a £500 mill loan and are struggling to refinance it.

I used to work for them, I hope they go bust, tightest shitty firm I know.

BHS or the Rubicon Group (Oasis, Whistles, Karen Millen)

BHS looks like it's been clinging to the edge for years.
B&Q don't look great, and the profits of DSG (PC World, Currys, Dixons) have taken a nosedive.

If i was a betting man i'd put money on BHS going under, for years now i've gone in there stores and there virtually empty every single time.

Indeed, the last time I went in was to get a cheapo breakfast in their restaurant, and that was where all the other customers were heading too. Stores always look like they're stuck in 1989.

DFS, you cant keep selling your wears at "sale" price then financing everyone so they can afford the crap. mind you at 29.9% apr there is profit to be made. but if everyone stopped paying their monthly payments??

I hope to God it is B & Q now.
Since the demise of MFI this week B & Q have put the prices of their kitchen carcases up by a huge amount so that a 300mm wall unit that last week was £34 today is £72!
Bastards.

BHS are owned by Sir Phillip Green. Does this mean they comprise part of the Arcadia Group? If so, I reckon they might be ok. Debenhams, on the other hand.....
