Retro Shirts and Copyright?

I see people wearing retro shirts a lot. Sometimes it has the sponsor they had, but not the shirt manufacturer. I saw a guy in the Trafford Centre with the city white 3rd strip from 1995. It had "Brother" on the sponsor, but not Umbro (or indeed any manufacturer) badge. How on earth is this allowed under copyright?

Taking the logo off gets them round any IP / trademark issues.

Probably a top from a company called ScoreDraw that specifically sell official licensed retro tops.

Have a look at Club Retros and Classic Calcio Club.

They do all the retro shirts with the sponsors and everything. Better than the score draw and ones the club sells.
