Retrospective ban for Ferdinand

I'm glad he's not getting banned, he's 100% finished as a top defender and his presence only weakens United. Does anyone actually believe that shit about being injured is a valid excuse for him not playing?

If he doesn't get charged for this, it is 100% proof that the FA is corrupt. Previous things could maybe be put down to paranoia or slightly ambigious rules or events, but this would be as blatant as you get.

Everyone suspects that there is bias in the FA, but this would prove it beyond doubt, it wouldn't be a 'theory' anymore, it would be fact.

I suspect a charge will be announced after the CC match, and the delay will be ignored or explained away in a typically evasive statement.

I went on rag cafe and saw a thread on this. Tbf most of the rags were saying it was stupid and they expected him to get a ban.

Looks like the FA have woken up then

Was on the first part of my referees course on monday and my tutor hates rooney and says they're trying to crack down on all the shit in the pro game, but that the money and managers mouthing off in the press make it really hard to enforce changes though they are starting to emerge apparently.

am loving this the hypocritical tw@t

Ferguson is incensed about the timing of the charge and believes it would not have been unreasonable for the governing body to delay it by 24 hours, rather than complicate United’s preparations for one of the biggest games of the season.

he was quick enough to get Ade sidelined when he was worried about the damage he might have caused :(

I'd expect him to plead guilty and accept missing the derby. I've checked out their fixtures, and if he does that, he would miss the derby, Arsenal away and Pompey at home. The rags would have him back for Villa away. If he contests the charge and plays against us, the ban will be extended to 4 games and he'll miss Villa away AND Everton away on top of the Arsenal and Pompey games. I don't think they'd want that, as 3 of those are tough away games in the premier league. Therefore, i'd say it's 99% certain that he's out of our game. People will say it's bad for us that he's out as he's a spent force, but i'm sorry... i'd rather we were up against Wes Orange than Ferdinand any day of the week.

Agreed especially if Vidic & Rio are supposed to play. As a pair they are effective.
