Return of Supporters

Tickets will be so thinly spread that nobody will be able to get a coach together and only the pubs with beer gardens will be open. Not quite the usual cup final day but hopefully the start of a return to normality

I understand wanting to reward NHS staff but given such a limited number of fans will allowed in, why the hell are they giving any seats to local residents and NHS staff who in all liklihood could not give a shit about the game?

Personally I was hoping this wouldn't be used as a test event. Don't want anything disrupting our attempts to make it 4 carabao cups in a row. Will be like a spurs early rounds europa league game, nobody's going to be allowed to travel from manchester

Will City fans be allowed independent travel or will they all be required to travel down on fleet of coaches from Etihad?

Are we not jumping the gun with the thread headline saying it will be played infront of 8000 fans?
All these tweets are quoting talksport as their source and their article says
The Carabao Cup final at Wembley next month could be played in front of 8,000 fans, talkSPORT understands.

The EFL are hopeful of being given the green light by the government to use their showpiece clash at the national stadium – between Manchester City and Tottenham on April 25

Hopeful being the operative word so I wouldn't get too carried away just yet

8,000 in a 90,000 stadium would feel very strange. Can’t see either team getting more than 2,000 and those tickets will be gold dust

Just read this on the Talksport Twitter account.
Like night follows day the comments are the the usual “city will struggle to sell 2,000 tickets” starting with the very 1st comment.
So not only do we not get any fans at home, we now dont get any fans away (pre-covid)
Very very bizarre

Talksport hypothetical exclusive.

It is still 17th May as the earliest date.

Waste of time.

No one in unless everyone in.

People said similar when they restarted football without fans. We wouldn't have seen a single game of football this last year if that were the case. We might be waiting some time yet til we get full houses yet. Could be years, could be never
