Return of Supporters

The email said it could be used against the 2020/21 ST costs - there may never have been any 2020/21 ST costs so it could have been completely lost from the wording of the email. If it had said for any future costs I may have carried it over, and we were only given a week to call the club to do it so it was a mess about to do it with no incentive whatsoever.

They can't make up rules in retrospect. It was always more prudent to have it in my bank account than theirs given possible risks.
It will never be lost as it said you can ring up any time and get it back if you change your mind.

We're not a lower league club where sudden loss of income threatens our existence. If we were then I could kind of see where this is coming from but it's a tough sell by the club to say "you can come back first because you gave us a credit but you over there can't because you needed the cash to feed the kids" etc etc.

I run a Supporters Club Branch and the people who haven’t got much always tend to ensure there subs are up to date. In business, I tend to fine the people who drag their heels with paying debts are this who could afford to settle up immediately.

The people who carried over credits may be no better off than the people who got refunds. There is no sound evidence either way.. People were entitled to refunds and I got mine. I just wouldn’t lose any sleep over people who accepted credits being prioritised for the first games back, even though I haven’t missed a home game spectators have been allowed into for several years. I don’t think then Club won’t do it this way because people will claim it’s rewarding richer fans when we’ve no idea if that’s the case or not.

Would you mind expanding on your final line? Being back at a full etihad is something I spend far too many minutes a week thinking about. Is this a Hunch or more? If someone said to me now you will be back in March. (Another 6 months) I think I could handle that as long as I knew!
In conversation with a top BHA (British horse racing authority) doctor, who sits on the all sports DCMS committee, he believes that there may be a very quick 2 minute Covid test available later in this year, if implemented at stadia it wouldn’t eliminate the need for the 2 meter social distancing rule. Clearly it would require fans to be at the stadium much earlier, but it would mean that that the Etihad could be filled.

You could have one while queuing at the bar.

Mind you, you could have caught it & died by the time you got served.

The football league arranged tests so clubs could go back to contact training, they were £125.00 each. It is unlikely there will be something fast, robust and cheap any time soon.

Clearly there is no certainty that these tests will be available, it is however an educated guesstimate, with regards to cost he is estimating around the £5 mark, my company would happily pay this to get punters back into stadiums. Fingers crossed he is right!

Look it is as simple as this.......

Football fans are kn”bs simple as if you get a ticket and is says be at the ground for 1.30pm you know a fan is going to turn up at 2.55pm

Will he or she get in still yes, is he or she a k*ob yes

I would rather wait to be honest
