Match tickets should certainly be free because letting locals in for nothing while charging City and Spurs fans is as big a piss take as it gets, but that’s not City’s fault. As for the travel, for all we know City may be subsidising some of that cost anyway. Someone pointed out that the trains will only be allowed to run at half capacity and that may be the same for the coaches too so Avanti and the coach firm (whoever that is) could well be charging the club more than what the fans are being charged.
The coach travel is not being subsidised

I say this as someone who usually organises 3 coaches to Wembley and we charge Adults £35 and kids £25.

We also provide a pub stop for a few hours in Uxbridge.

So please remember us for future games ;)

Perhaps the £50 price is the coach company covering the cost due to reduced capacity, so basically passing it on to those attending

@CC1 I got a ticket for me and my son, no need to remove the travel option. It knew my postcode so had London Travel on the confirmation but didn't charge anything for it.
thanks for info. something wrong on my account as it won't remove the coach option!! Will have to wait until box office opens

Jumping through hoops to get to this Cup Final. Don't really want to go on the coach but if that's the only option. Eligible for tickets but I can't find anywhere to get a lateral flow test after 13.30 next Saturday. Does anyone know of a test centre open?

Another train at 12-55 has just appeared in the options my mate just messaged me
Direct to Watford only

Well that helps my temptation to go as fucked if I was getting a coach down
After the FA Cup semi against Chelsea in 2013 I vowed never to get another coach to Wembley again. It took us an hour and a half to get off the car park afterwards, thanks in no small part to a few bellends who didn’t get back on the coach until about half an hour after everyone else meaning we were almost the last coach to depart. The traffic was predictably horrendous and there’s no provision for escorting coaches back to the motorway which is a fucking disgrace for a match taking place at our national stadium. I remember at around 9pm (3 hours after the match had ended) we could still see the fucking Wembley Arch. All I can say is that it’s a good job we won!

That said, although I’m not going I think the coach might not be too bad an option this time. With so few fans allowed in and general traffic not yet back up to pre-pandemic levels it ought to be relatively easy getting in and out.

The coach is probably the better option to avoid all the messing about in and out of central London

Dont get why some people dont like travelling by coach,at least you can relax hsve a kip , read etc.
I've driven , got a train and a coach down to Wembley in recent years.
Dont mind any of them as long as I get there..
I can see how some people might like a drink , I do.myself , but manage it ok when I've driven there and back.

This is something I don't understand. Given our stadium is a test centre, can't they just organise this for fan's who've purchased tickets, or is that too easy?
