Return of Supporters

If as looks likely, Everton go into the last match with absolutely nothing to play for, their fans should do the right thing and insist their club returns the tickets to city to be given to city fans

I know if the tables were reversed I would 100% give mine up
There will be lots of Evertonians who haven’t missed a game for decades and who have every right to get a ticket for this game.

All about who does the test as to whether the up your nose test is truly nasopharyngeal and the throat test is truly at the back.
Let’s just say when I did home lateral flow test myself it was much more comfortable than when the nurse at the hospital did it properly for both lateral flow and PCR.
One of reasons lateral flow tests perform poorly I believe.
No, Covid tests aren’t particularly reliable because of a quite complex mathematical theorem.

Those theories apply to every test you have, blood tests, smears whatever. All about the test kit telling you the correct answer which varies for different tests PCR >LF, however what’s on the end of the swab, ie the swab been put in the right place, is crucial.
Hopefully they’ll be a test which doesn’t involve a swab down the throat or up the nose. Saliva or breathalyser type would be much more pleasant.
Back to footy, come on blue boys, win it this weekend

For those interested ( me and and my lad couldnt get on the coach for Wembley last Sunday due to 1 LFT not being sent to us) I have written to a contact at the club kindly supplied by 1894 Group.

Have to say City did not seem that interested, probably not their remit.

However I have today received a message from a friend ( Blades fan ) who knows someone high up in the governments testing process. Hes asked for details to take up on my behalf.

It may not matter but if we have to provide LFTs for any future games I want to be sure I have done everything I can to make who ever puts the next policy together consider a " what if" scenario.Brief outline sent to my mate, probably futile but got to give it a go:

Lateral Flow Tests =LC Final

I am currently in the process of obtaining a refund for match tickets and coach travel as our LFT results taken at Rates Hall Manchester Sat 4.30pm did not come through. This meant my son and I could not get on the coach Sunday morning to watch Man City at Wembley.

As regards the LFT they have still not come through as of today. We rang 119 Sat and Sun and although everyone was very helpful we got nowhere.

There seemed to be no contingency made for fans not receiving LFTs despite the departure point of the coaches being next to a vaccination centre.

Although I was a bit miffed missing the game (my sons birthday present) I am more concerned that no one seems to be interested in my experience and learning from it (test event) to prevent someone else experiencing the same thing.

Raab saying there will need to be safeguards in place after the 21st June possibly around distancing and masks which doesn’t sound great for full football stadiums.

I think though they should only be in place until everyone is offered a vaccine (at least one jab) which would be a few weeks after that. No reason to think it won’t be full stadiums from next season onwards
