As much as I’d like to attend this match, I won’t be entering the ballot. As a Cityzens matchday member, who now only gets to around 8 - 12 games per season (including cups/champions league), I do feel this should only be open to season card holders, points should not come into the equation. A fair draw, where all season card holders are treated equal, should have been how this ballot was run.

The last season of being awarded points was the 18/19 season, a season where we won the domestic treble and I seem to remember at least 8 away games going to general sale. It's usually the same every year. In fact we've only had one game we could go to so far and that was a cup final and I'm sure that didn't properly sell out. I've said on here before that the issue City had is calling the points system "loyalty points" initially as it's such an emotive phrase, if they had just been known as "City points" I don't think people would go anywhere near as animated about it. I've also said before that having more points doesn't mean that someone is "a bigger blue" than you or whatever conversation you've built up in your head. It's just those with higher points are wired up differently to you, not better or bigger, just differently.

No complaints from me. You are city fans the same as everyone else. I remember the turnouts we had in the 80’s both home (As low as 17000) and away (many games with less than 1500) when there were no loyalty points and we had a run of about 40 games without an away win! Not an easy watch back then. There will be plenty of those lads who did the miles back then who for one reason or another can only now make some games so have a Cityzen card. They are no less of a loyal fan, just did their miles at a time when loyalty wasn’t rewarded.

Good luck to all! If I am not one of the lucky ones, I may turn up that day anyway as looked good outside last week and give one last tribute to Sergio before heading to town to watch it on the box.
Yes pal.
And was low as 15.5k for a couple of home games in the late 80's.
And some aways with just a few hundred eg Newcastle I remember us only having 2 pens behind the net.
Should be automatically given platinum for following us all over in that period!

Ive literally no idea but its ruined my fuckin day so ill be telling them to fuck off now

in 10 years my login has NEVER been right. Countless phone calls to the club has never sorted it

fuck off
It's nothing to do with your login, just go to the heading for Tickets or Ballots and buy/enter. It's an internal error that shouldn't be displayed, probably got the link mis-spelled in the code.

Like you say, the support and loyalty given when the club needed it most (80s/90s) isn’t rewarded under the current scheme. I’ve no doubt that many of the people with 22k-plus points were also doing the hard yards back then, but it does sometimes irk me a little when watching that week-in week-out back then counts for nothing.

I suppose everyone’s view of the current scheme will be shaped in the main by their own situation, but I’ve always thought that the current set-up is too restrictive for a big club with a diverse following in terms of people’s circumstances. Perhaps having more of the away tickets being available to more of the support would help people have a stronger attachment to the club, particularly younger fans or people who can’t afford to go to every away game.

In any case, I won’t begrudge anyone who gets a ticket if I don’t, as I’ve always seen the chance of getting to the Everton game purely as a bonus. It’s been a shit year and anyone who gets a ticket should just enjoy it and feel fortunate to be there.

The real fun and games will start next season as unfortunately I still can’t see it being business as usual, and I would still expect a reduced capacity during periods if COVID does prove a seasonal issue, even with the vaccinations. Judging by this thread the club will have a very difficult job in terms of implementing a proper framework for deciding the ticket allocations, and there may be a lot of disappointed people if they feel that they are entitled to attend every game.
Bang on the money

Watched City home and away during the dark times and was lucky enough to carry on with a Season Ticket

Even queued for 14 hours for Gillingham Wembley ticket, 2 weeks after first lad was born!!

Buy four ST every year but wont pay for premium as 4 tickets costs me a fortune as it is.

No chance of away games due to point system which I feel more for my 11yo's as they have never had the chance I did, mind you they have been Wembley a few times!!!!

Next year I can see the continuation of ballots as no chance full stadiums back too soon.

Hopefully it'll be more sensible and a rolling ballot next season so it's a bit fairer.
