Spurs 9 points taking them to 67
City 6 points taking us to 68

We need to take something out of the Utd and Arsenal games otherwise Spurs can get back control by beating us

I'm quietly confident about beating the Arse. They're almost crippled by injuries at the moment and we're rolling now.

I keep looking at the table and fixtures and working out where the points are coming form but, I go back to the same view that we will drop points somewhere, and the Spurs game will be the decider.

Anyone that thinks fourth is ours needs to wake up, 5 games left yet.

Spurs are down to the bare bones in the next two games; no Palacios, Krancjar, Lennon, King.. probably no Corluka... Defoe not back to full fitness following his injury.

I fancy us to pick up more points from United/Arsenal than they will from Arsenal/Chelsea.

You honestly think we'll only pick up 6 points from the last 5 games? I reckon we'll win at least 3 of our last 5 games and remain unbeaten

I'm staying with my predictions from last week for the remaining fixtures

Spurs

14 Apr Wed Home Arsenal Draw
17 Apr Sat Home Chelsea Lose
24 Apr Sat Away Man Utd Lose
01 May Sat Home Bolton Win
05 May Wed Away Man City Draw
09 May Sun Away Burnley Win

City

17 April 2010 H Manchester United Draw
24 April 2010 A Arsenal Draw
01 May 2010 15:00 H Aston Villa Draw
05 May 2010 20:00 H Tottenham Hotspur Draw
09 May 2010 16:00 A West Ham United Win

Spurs a further eight points, City seven

I think we will beat United and cant see Spurs beating Arsenal or Chelsea so after the United game I think we will be well clear of them. I hope I dont jinx us but I think we are almost home and dry, I have us to seal 4th place at home against Villa!

If Arsenal beat them then they could fade away, but I don't think that will happen. If it comes down to a head to head game with Spurs it will be a very nervous game where anything can happen, and where the away team sometimes benefits.

Most City fans said before the Wigan, Burnley and Birmingham games that these were must win because the games that follow were very tough. Now, because we have scored so many goals there's an assumption in some quarters that we will beat Utd, and Arsenal. Highly unlikely. The aim is to match whatever Spurs do. I'd expect a big reaction from Spurs to the Cup defeat

It will be extremely difficuly for 'Arry to pick the Spuds players up and with Krancjar, Defoe and Palacios(for the next 2 games) all out. I just can't see them getting anything from either Arsenal or Chelsea.

If we take the team which hammered Burnley and Birmingham to Arsenal and play an open game we could get heavily beaten. Big wins against poor teams doesn't mean we can play the same way against the top 4 teams and win.

We have a weakness in midfield due to injuries. Means Zabeleta, or Toure and maybe Tevez again in midfield.

We need at least 2 draws from both the arsenal and united games.

But on the otherhand we can come out with nothing.

lets not get over complacent .... we need to go in with nothing but 2 wins from these games.

somehow i cannot see it happening.

i still stick by my word, this will go down to the wire between spurs, liverpool and us.

liverpool are not out of this by a mile.

still acheivable.

am scared...sleepless nights. :(((((

Is Defoe out? That will be a big miss. But anything can hapen in Spurs / Arsenal Derby. They could lose 3 on the trot, or they could kickstart their season. It's still in City And Spurs hands because of the City Spurs fixture.

We would need to drop 10 points from the remaining 15 for Liverpool to have a chance...and even then they would have to win all 4 of their remaining games, including Chelsea.

They're not mathematically out of it but i'm not worried about them at this point.

I don't think Mancini is daft enough to go to the Emirates and push as many men forward as we have done against Burnley and Birmingham but the Arsenal game could suit us because with them being at home they will come on to us and aslong as we keep it tight at the back we'll have a great chance to pick them off on the counter attack because of the pace and movement of our 4 attacking players. Arsenal have been winning games recently but they've not battered any team and West Ham and Wolves have both been there recently and give them a game so theres no reason why we can't go there and get at least a point

Exciting week of football ahead with lots of City interest even if we aren't playing. I think Liverpool are out of it now. And they know it too. Villa will have to beat Everton at home in midweek, and that game is too close to call

Tues
Chelsea v Bolton

Weds

Spurs v Arsenal, Villa v Everton

I'm not completely sure he's out, be I know he's nowhere near 100% match fit.

Don't worry about Liverpool they are gone. We only have to pick up 7 points from the last 5 games to make sure Liverpool don't get it even if they win all 4 of their remaining games which they won't

Why highly unlikely? You also have to remember Spurs had a demoralising and draining defeat yesterday. They have picked up injuries and suspensions and they are facing Arsenal who have had a week off.

I think some people wisht o be negative because that has alsways been the best policy for us City fans but the way the team is now playing whith players coming back from injury I fear no team and so no reason why we cant win all our next matches. Spurs have to play all the top 4 sides in their run in we only have to play 2
