Ricardo Rodriguez

I'm happy enough to let Clichy and Kolarov fight it out while Angelino continues to progress nicely. He could easily be in our team in a year or two, he looks very special, especially going forwards.

I like the Angelino part but he's still a way off the first team.
I think left back is our Achilles when it comes to the elite games, can we make the necessary progress in that period with our current two,and then hope Angelino does fulfil that incredible potential? I'm not convinced.

I think he has the technical quality required, it's just about how quickly he develops physically and how he uses that defensively. He's 17 now and you'd expect him to be getting to the right level physically by 19 or 20. When you see the amount of quality he has with his delivery, it's hard to see him not becoming a very good player sooner or later.

As for Kolarov/Clichy, I really don't think there are many great fullbacks kicking about, very few who'd represent a genuine upgrade on them. It's a real struggle to think of many leftbcks who are great and the few that might be rated highly are generally unavailable. I haven't seen enough of Rodriguez to pass comment, but for some reason I just assumed Bayern had already lined him up.

I don't, he looks like a failed winger with no positional sense whatsoever. There don't seem to be many fullbacks who can even remotely defend.

if tixiki reads the forum then this squad would be nice next year and might win a cup or two!! ;-)

Bit defensive in the subs department mate. What about Dzeko?

I see we are linked in the papers today, even city mention it in the media section. Would be a fantastic signing! Would have to lose kola though.
