He has had some stick recently - but today I thought he was just behind zabaleta in man of the match - that was the old Micah we love - battling, getting stuck in - hopefully being dropped has given him that kick up the arse he needed

Just got back from the game. I thought Richards and Zabaleta were outstanding. Kompany, Onouha and Bridge also played very well. The result was more important than the performance today.
We looked solid at the back apart from defending corners, I thought.

Kompany was immense a cb along with Onuoha, Hope we stick with them now and Richards a Rb.

Yeah I did notice Richards putting in a proper shift for once, good on him. Couldn't split Kompany & Zabi for MOM today.

Agreed, good work by all of the back. Even Dunny until he lost the plot, which was unexcusable.

Much more solid performance from all those at the back including St. Micah. Kompany was solid at CB and I was delighted Zab got the goal.

As has been said, apart from corners we looked much better defensively (Dunne's moment of insanity aside). I know there were actually a lot of changes at the back but I think that finally having a decent left back probably made the rest of the back four more confident.
