The media are 100% complicit in my humble opinion, especially the BBC. Also, the amount of 'client journalism' that goes on amongst the tabloid journalists and social media hacks is just blatantly obvious. There are only the odd one or two with any shred of integrity.

And why we need loads of young pr city fans that city employ to point out these people if they make libel accusations..

I'm pretty sure City do monitor the social media channels, and if any journo did put out anything specifically libelous they would be getting a call from the clubs lawyers pretty sharpish.

in the main, these parasites tend to skate around the subject with inuendo and hearsay, staying just the right side of the line to keep their editors out of the shit. I'm sure the club could take them to the cleaners if they really wanted to, but the backlash wouldn't be worth the hassle.
