Would you want this man to be the President of the United States? (It says a lot when Piers Morgan holds the moral high ground. Piers Morgan FFS)
 
There was never a chance he'd ever win, but by him pulling out and leaving the field clear, thus uniting Republicans behind a moderate candidate, they stand an excellent chance of winning. Much better to let them beat each other up for as long as possible. It's bad news.

Suppose that's one way to look at it. The other is that there is an (albeit slim) possibility Romney's asked him to be his running mate, in which case it could still be good news. Obama is starting to turn round the American economy anyway, I can't see past him getting a second term.

It sounds like the Tea Party hate Romney almost as much as Obama. They probably see Romney as far left :)
