Ricky Hatton Comeback

Ricky is still young 34 if that. IF he wants to give it another bash and is focused on boxing he will get back to that level. Just look at British level Kell Brook and Khan could all be fights that will be huge here.

Also for Ricky he needs a new tv deal for Hatton Promotions tell Sky he is thinking about fighting again and they know he has enough people who will follow his fights. Put it this way Scott Harrison came back boxing recently after being out of the ring for over 2 years after being locked up. He won his fight well and in my view could well win a world title again thats how highly I rate Scot Harrision. He is very strong and is a top class fighters. Age means nothing ask BHop about age once you got your body to the peak of fitness you can still win the big fights out there.

Ricky only got beaten by 2 of the best pound for pound fighters in Mayweather and Pacman no harm in losing to both figthers. Saying that does he need to fight again??? Well I would love to see him not but would also like to see how he gets on again. I thought with Hatton Promotions and training fighters it would be enough for Ricky but if he wants to do it fair play to him. I heard that his promotions has a few problems and Sky are stalling on a new deal but if Hatton throws in the carrott of him fighting again it could twist Skys arm. Imagine them having Hatton and Khan and Froch fighting 2 to 3 fights a year for them it would be huge ratings for them.

You know your boxing mate, but Hatton was clearly finished for some time. His punch resistance had faded and he just couldn't take a shot anymore and would completely lose his head whenever he was tagged (dropping his hands etc). Ricky's been a fantastic fighter to follow and I've loved every minute of it as a fan, but it's over. Some boxers go on for too long and it ruins things - Holyfield, Roy Jones, Barrera etc.

Those who are saying that Ricky's drinking and over eating will hinder him need to remember that in between fights his weight used to balloon and it was this that earned him the nickname "Ricky Fatton". I have no doubt he'll lose the weight and get back into shape. I hope he does make a comeback, it will be interesting to see how he will face against the new Welterweights.

Apparently he needs publicity for his promoting business as he no longer has a contract with SKY. I can't see him fighting again at the same level.
