He bumped into me once (literally) at a night club bar in Ashton. I turned around quickly and he was just stood there on his own holding a pint and quickly apologised. I said something like “I’ll let you off, but just because you’re a blue”. He laughed and we just chatted football for a few minutes. He was a world champion at the time. Seemed genuinely happy to be just talking to a fellow blue.
I agree mate but nothing to do with me. This is a link to the artist's YouTube site which aims to help spread mental health awareness. How the hell did you do that!?!
Wonderful talent.........
Truly heartbreaking Ricky’s son blaming himself, I just hope he can find peace from losing his dad he’s not to blame
Why would someone make something like that .Delete this AI bullshit. Have some respect. Footage of campbell speaking is from Granada's interview with Mike Hall from well before the funeral.
Nice words them mate! Every Manc (Blue or Red) was so proud of him and could relate to him!As a Norwegian, I do not undertand what Mr Hatton meant for you / Manchester / further. When I saw Manchester United player applaude him, it made me realize that it means more than City vs the rest. For everyone who wants to talk, there are people around you. Talk to us.
He was obviously a true friend who Hatton could trust and confide in.That Adam Smith eulogy … I honestly have never heard such a deeply moving tribute to anyone in my life. An here’s the thing…everything he said about the man was true, ask anyone in Hyde who knew him. If we can learn anything, it shows how hard it is to maintain authenticity and real fame, particularly for working class people.
Folk don’t have to justify if they weren’t there.Did anyone see pep or phil or noel there, on the clips I saw you saw plenty of boxers and Liam plus other people but not 1 clip of those 3, did I miss it or they didn't go, and if they didn't go why not.
That's terrific........... :-)Bit pissed and watching reruns of Ricky's fights. Excuse the late night ramble.
That Hyde lad gave us some great nights to remember, but nothing comes close to the Vegas trip for the Mayweather fight. Imagine your best away trip and multiply it by 10 then add a few days to it. City everywhere. Then add to it, lads from London, Rags, Scousers, Scots...banter off the scale. No mither, it was all about the Hitman. And that was just the weigh-in. Loads of working class lads got to go on a trip that would stay with them forever. Loans and credit card repayments would've taken years to clear, but the memories would last a lifetime.
6 of us paid $700 each for hospitality and a ticket in the gods. Michael Buffer made a 2 min appearance, did his let's get ready to rumble bit and fucked off. But we muscled in and got our piccie with him on one of them throwaway Kodak cameras. Had another pic with Joan Collins at the weigh-in. Another with Denzel Washington pre-fight at a bar. A pic of my mate with Cuba Gooding Jnr on his right and Donald Fucking Trump on his left. Another with Freddie Roach, the legendary trainer. Another with De La Hoya. Ballooning around with A-listers and the greats of boxing. To cap it all a priceless pic of RH and Jenn at the Mandalay after the fight.
Day after the fight we went out as Elvis's in shit suits. A bunch of all-American frat boys on a bachelor party bumped into us. Excited as fuck to meet a bunch of crazy Brits. One of 'em asked for a photo so we swapped cameras to take pics of each group. Fucked off and got shitfaced.
Got home. Got the film developed. 40-odd pics of a bunch of Yanks having the shittest night imaginable and our trip of a lifetime pics no doubt thrown in the trash somewhere in the States.
I reckon Ricky might mind that funny as fuck.
RIP Ricky.
I was just asking a question, and seen as apparently they was big fans of him, why wouldn't they go.Folk don’t have to justify if they weren’t there.
