Perhaps they wanted to pay respect in their own way.I was just asking a question, and seen as apparently they was big fans of him, why wouldn't they go.

I did think the same, Pep, Noel and Kompany stood out as people who knew him, spoke highly of him so you'd think they would have been there. Especially Pep, considering it is less than a two minute walk from where he lives. He was in some golf tournament though was he not? Maybe he couldn't get away.I was just asking a question, and seen as apparently they was big fans of him, why wouldn't they go.

There was still Buzzer, Morrison and Lake there. Possibly more.
Maybe they weren't invited? I've no idea how these things work, having never been to an invite only funeral. Would people who move in certain circles be invited to apply for an invitation? Would the family just sit down and draw up a list? Be quite easy to overlook someone obvious if that was the case, with everything else going on.I was just asking a question, and seen as apparently they was big fans of him, why wouldn't they go.
This. People don't always want/ need to attend a funeral to pay their respects.Perhaps they wanted to pay respect in their own way.
My brother got it right after my mum died.This. People don't always want/ need to attend a funeral to pay their respects.
I've missed loads over the years for one reason or another.
Also in Peps case ,it's not really about them, and Pep might have thought he'd be taking the spotlight away a bit...no idea ...but I doubt it's a disrespectful thing
In any event ,nowadays,if folk went to every funeral they could they'd be off work every two days
A sign of the times....
For anyone who hasn't seen this is well worth a watch.
My father in laws funeral today and he went in the same hearse as Ricky did. A nice touch as he loved his boxing.
Someone posted that on here within minutes of it coming out he’d passed.Sad it has been confirmed that he hanged himself which was the rumour at the ground on the day it happened, although how anybody actually knew that is strange.

For the families sake I wish things like this were kept out of the public. Should be for them to know only.
I'm probably being naive, but I'd like to think some good can come of it being public knowledge. Perhaps someone who is struggling with their mental health who looked up to Ricky, may see it as, if depression can get him, it can get me and may push a few more to seek help.Someone posted that on here within minutes of it coming out he’d passed.

I just wish he had had people with him who could have helped him, bloody sad.
