Isn’t he a shit defender ?Honestly putting my blue tinted specs to the side and disregarding his personality (massive arrogant bellend) purely as a footballer I think he'd be fantastic in our current set up. His ball striking ability is probably second only to Kevin. He'd need Akanji to hold his hand through defending but he'd put some balls on Haaland's head for sure.
Never happening in a million years anyway though, pretty sure he's off to join his bumchum at Madrid in the Summer, especially with Carvajal's horrific injury.

We tried the Cancelo approach and it didn’t work. Trent is even less of a defender.
He’d be a better and cheaper option than Frimpong though.
As you suggest, it’s never happening as he wouldn’t move here and we wouldn’t want him!

Al though an impossibility I would love Van De Ven from Spurs. It would mean not relying on Walkers pace & Akanji or Lewis can play right backWhat are the best options for when Kyle leaves……we have Rico obviously but we lose a massive positive from our backline when that pace has gone.

Actually not as much of a liability as he used to be. I was only playing devil's advocate anyway I hate the fucker and it will never happen. I'm not too blinkered to admit he has a wand of a right foot though.
The last player to leave liverpool for city got non-stop media harassment for like 2 years, so Trent just wouldn't do it not when a nice easy controversy free move to Madrid is there . It's funny because when Milner did the reverse he pretty much was celebrated as a hero by media.
