Ait-Nouri!

Every top team now plays 3 CB profiles. Khusav and RAN should provide good balance. 3 at the back in possession. Hopefully Khusa has had a good summer of training and can take the leap. Thats our most likely route to a dominant backline IMO. Gvardiol and Khusa are rapid too so will be excellent wide CB's.
Gvardiol is not rapid

He's 28. Won't happen, but I love this guy's shithousery. I've seen him take the piss out of Vinicius Jr. on several occasions. Gets in his head and bangs him around physically...
Just checked that little clip of him messing with Vini- love it. I'd love at least one player with that kind of swagger. Really don't feel we've had that for many years.

As crazy as this sounds, I count maybe 3 RB's in the world that are clearly better than Nunes (assuming he maintains/improves on his end of year form) and below 29 years of age. Hakimi (up for rape charges or something grim), Trent (not for us), and Kounde (think he just resigned or is about to).

The ready made RB market is scarce. Thus we must sign for potential, The Vanderson, Livramento, Gray, & Wesley types are probably the closest to being first-team quality. It seems Spurs are interested in Grealish so Gray could be an option. But I doubt he walks into the team. Same with most of these guys.

I think City are doing the right thing here by not panic signing some 30 year old stop gap RB or overpaying for some youngster that is no better than Rico Lewis. Khusanov or Reis could be considered world-class RB's next year for all we know. No issue with us waiting for the one. The panic is well overblown.
I personally think Gray is a banger of a prospect. If we can get him I'd be tickled silly. I like Livramento too even though it doesn't sound that way from all of my ranting. But that's really about the fee.

It's a good call ! Part exchange maybe?

Do some research before making baseless claims. Random article from 2 seasons back. His top speed has reached over 34 at other times. Thats rapid for CB's.

Research? I've watched every fucking game he has played for us, quote daft stats as much as you want, he's not rapid, and the fact that he's marginally faster than Nathan Ake is further proof.

Not sure what games you're watching then mate... Feel free to prove it. Never loses a race.

Every = Arsenal and city.

By that logic Nunes is the 4th best right back in the world... yes he finished last season well but are you having a laugh or what?

In the prem alone theres Aina, James, Gusto, Porro, Livramento, Timber and White who are all better in that position than him and I've probably missed a few more out. Attainable or not I think all of those listed would also excel at city.

Nunes has only a few months career experience playing right back, hes never going to be the solution and he'll end up costing us playing there. I hope he proves me wrong but it's telling Pep didn't play him in the cup final after a spell of his best run of form in a city shirt.

did the board have you at gunpoint when you wrote this ? Or do you genuinely only follow absolute top teams to come up with this?
The players you named afterwards and claimed to be „ near“ first-team quality. They would all start here. I am always curious when people aint happy with our squad but then mention that we have the best players at certain positions when it’s not even the truth. Same with the reasoning why „ talents „ don’t make it here. We have the best players everywhere but apparently no one is interested in them ( Grealish).

When? Vini Jr. has never scored more than 3 goals in game and not against Mallorca. Che cazzo stai dicendo?

When did I say that Vinicius scored 3 goals? Maffeo got „ destroyed „ when he started to beef with them last season. They ran rounds around him so much that he even cried after the game.

Barring where Nunes ranks among RBs in the Prem what's telling is Pep chose not to play him in the cup final and we lost...

Mallorca and Real played to a 1-1 and a 1-2 last season. I'm not advocating we sign Maffeo. I was simply saying I enjoyed watching the guy take the piss out of Vinicius Jr.

Don't see us bringing in anyone else without moving others first - and plenty of them too.
Reckon it's Nunes, Lewis and potentially Stones (based on comments either in here, or other threads) for RB.
Not ecstatic about it, but we've made things work before so we go with it and get behind whoever plays
