Just a lump with nothing but a bit of strength about him . The team was shit hot and we mainly brought in who we wanted . We'd have won the league with edgehill in that year

He is very good with his right foot and I could see him cutting in on to his left for a shot at goal.
The obvious thing to do would be play Gvardiol in his best position and buy a right back.
He may have to do as a makeshift right back until the January transfer window comes along.

While it is certainly more solid,I'm not sure how creative it would be.

You would also have the problem that we'd have a lot of attacking talent that wouldn't play. We'd have Foden, Marmoush, Savinho, Bobb, Doku, Cherki for one position.

Might be ok in the short term considering the injuries we have to those players but I can't see it working when everyone is fit and we have 6 quality players for one position.

Just to add. Wingback system require a team that has many workhorses from the midfield to the wingbacks. We have never been a team built of road runners, we let the ball and millions of passes do the work. The CWC was the perfect opportunity of try new systems but instead we saw the same old faces. I must admit the club in the past 2 years have been extremely confusing.

I agree it is a shambles, the right back situation.
An injury to Nunes/Lewis and we have no one at all.
As a stop gap, Gvardiol looks the most versatile of our centre backs.
Getting rid of Walker, Kabore, Cancelo, Couto and Akanji since the start of last season looks nonsensical.

If Livramento is the answer, we're in deep shit. He's not a good defender. Certainly not sufficiently better than either Rico or Nunes to waste upwards of £60m on.
