Right back options

He was born in Milton Keynes, raised in Liverpool, was a youth player at Everton from age 11 and played at Bolton, Wigan & Fulham - don't think he's touched any development system in the states. Fair enough if you don't like him as a player but not sure anything else is applicable.

One of my old colleagues is a Wigan fan - he told me about Robinson and Reece James when they had them, so I kept an eye out. Personally think he's very solid defensively, quite fast and has popped up in attack more over the past couple of seasons. A good profile and could do the Walker role on the left.
I didn't realize his development pedigree is in UK; thanks for pointing that out to me. He's a good player and we need dedicated fullbacks on both sides, so I would be pleased if he arrived at City for a reasonable amount of money. How much do you feel he is worth on the market? For £35-40 million, I would fine with him, but I have a feeling that we will be required to pay far more than that, and I would prefer a right back in January, given Walker's age, injury history and recent poor form. James is a fine player, but I don't want him as he's always injured.

My own personal opinions but I think one of the four will be city’s next Right Back, the market is extremely small.

Vanderson
Singo
Frimpong
Arnau Martinez

That’s also in my priority order, I don’t think Frimpong is the right fit in this current system but Pep could obviously make it work, I also feel as if a bit like Trent AA, he’ll be targeted and always labelled as unable to defend. Singo and Vanderson I don’t claim to know loads about but I like Vanderson and his defending statistics are brilliant, will link below. I can’t see how it won’t be any of these names if they actually buy a RB, however city are a lot smarter and more knowledgeable than me.

Vanderson
Martinez
Frimpong
Singo.

I like Singo the least by a large margin. Vanderson the most. And a slight edge to Martinez over Frimpong due to his versatility. But the presence of Rico might mean versatility is not as high of a value as we have that already.

I'd like a fullback who can break the press with speed, a pass or a dribble. It will totally change the dynamics of getting pressed. Frimpong has all that in his arsenal. So I really rate that.

Vanderson for me just ticks every box. Watching him play with such livewire energy is intoxicating. Haven't seen thT at City in months :(

We need more of that all over the field. Firebrands everywhere.

We’re not allowed to do any business with Girona before September 2024, Arnau is not an option

Article in the mirror about Frimpong and how he was not considered big enough or as good as other academy lads. I Didn’t think size and physical attributes was considered important by us plus what’s happened to those deemed better than him ?

He has superior physical attributes to Rico Lewis, so the club can spin it in whatever way, we dropped the ball on him.

Not the club what he said the club said I am just wondering who they thought was better than him down a level etc in the academy. Rico ? Or someone else ? If someone else where have they got to can they not be brought into the team ?

Big enough, not sure about as good as. He was useful prospect, we had no pathway at RB and a decent relationship with Celtic. Think Dionkou/Latabaudeire played RB after that. One moved to Spain, other still in the championship i think. Rico got called up to the U18s

Oh, did not know this, do you have any links? (Not that I don’t believe you, just would like to look at why).

We definitely agree on Vanderson, I’m not being pessimistic but I feel like it’s one of them that seems so perfect it won’t happen. End up going Brighton or Villa and then costing £60 mill or something, if anyone has any links with us to him, send them please, I remember one I’m sure, that’s why I kept looking at him. Intresting on singo, how come? The one I’ve seen the least.

Vanderson or Kayode, Vanderson the preferred option whereas Kayode may be long term the better one, either ar huge improvements

I like Frimpong but I just want a bit more defending from my full back, and those 2 above are better in that aspect
