Right back options

One RB will be fine if we can still use Lewis and Akanji for rotation. Khusanov fine to add raw pace for recovery as well.

Selling existing players might not be so easy so next season the defence consisting of new RB, Akanji, stones, Dias, Khusanov, Reis, Ake and Gvardiol might just have to do.

Cambiaso makes perfect sense and there was clear interest in Jan.

Cambiaso/Akanji/Lewis

Dias/Khusanov

Stones/Reis

Gvardiol/Ake

There is enough versatility to cover all positions in that group of players just need to stay fit.

We need a quick rb and if the Uzbekistan lad plays that's good pace in back line. Means team can press higher if we get mf rejigged and allows them speed to get back, if offside trap broken.

Looks good on paper, but factoring in the fitness/reliability of Stones, Dias and Ake starts to look a little thin.

I think we might have to be ruthless and move on two of those three in the next 18 months.

Next year is the last year on Stones contract and ale is the year after I think. Cant see Stones re signing if he has another poor year injury wise.

We'd be foolish not to get another center back along with a right back even if we do keep Stones and Ake.

Itd be nice if there was a fullback who could play inverted like Lewis, but also hold the width.

Not sure if that profile exists?

Gvardiol can easily do both on the left.

Cambiaso, Cancelo, Kadioglu,

Well Cancelo is never happening.

Never heard of the 3rd player, who is he?
Turkish LB/RB/AM went to Brighton last summer. Great player, used to be a #10 might be a bit soon for him to step up again but lots to like in his game. Is naturally a right sided.

*forgot Kayode as well but still raw/young
