Right back options

Whoever we get (probably Cambiaso) has to be a great improvement on Nunes Lewis Akanji or Khus, or what is the point
No offense but i don't think we'd have a whole thread devoted to right back options if we were happy signing another player who was just playing out of position at RB by necessity Rico Lewis 2.0

Here you go pal….

What i would also add, and isn't completely reflected in these stats, he passes the ball inside to the opposition and the opposition have gone onto score not necessarily with their first touch from these unforced errors.
Errors leading to shots = Josko
Errors leading to goals = Akanji

In the prem this season
"Errors leading to goals = Akanji" <-- Based on the stats, it's wrong, isn't it?

Take it up with the PL it’s in their website.

Interesting they've come up with that but there must be a lot in the definition e g. Literal errors like losing possession but other things like being out of position or not challenging. There must ve a lot in how its defined.

There is a reason for his stats. He is a progressive passer, he passe the ball a lot, he breaks lines with lines.

How many of the other guys on the list do that?

Any other of the top clubs defenders that dies what Josko does?

The problem is not Josko’s defending, passing or anything else. He had a rough patch but the problem lies with no solid replacement for Ridri, Akanji being poor, Ake and Boulders being constantly injured and Walker being a liability.

We should build the team around Khush, Josko, Rodri and Haaland. All the other players are dispensable to a smaller or larger extent.
All that said, Josko's errors mostly don't come from trying to break the lines. It almost always comes from a poorly place square pass.

Sometimes its just s bad pass, and other times he is expecting the player to move into the open space he is passing it into.

In both types of scenarios its a bad decision. These are the types of risks not worth taking

Fair enough just seen too much complaining about Josko. Him and Erling have been the only ones trying this season. Watching our stale and immobile midfield pass sideways for 5 minutes then lose the ball is something I hope we don’t get to see next season.

mostly came in the middle of his 'played to death' run as well, not something im overly concerned with right now.

Pep gave Aina a compliment in the pre-match press conference.. "can play at both sides", Might be important that. I feel it coming.
He gives many a compliment to be fair though lol

He played well in his audition today, he's on a free so a no brainer for me.
Him and Cambiasso would improve our defence overnight.

he wont be free, Forest can trigger another year if they dont get the contract talks over the line

Hoping we go with a more traditional right back next year, bombing up and down, quick and brave and can overlap.

None of this coming into midfield nonsense. It's been sussed.

Nuno had Nunes man-marked in that first half in particular and just got his wide man to follow him so we didn't get too much of an overload in midfield.

It's not the surprise to teams as it once was anymore.

Give me a Zabaleta every day of the week.

It wouldn't shock me if we bought another centre back or converted someone we have into a right back

That sounda like a tactical problem then no?

Because if yoj want the fullback to just bomb wide, Nunes can easily do this and it probably suits him better given his physique.

Aina’s age isn’t an issue, he has defensive capabilities, is a good physical presence at the back and decent on the ball. We should consider, his experience will help
