Right back options

No links and very unlikely but Ben White.
Arsenal have Timber who can play right back and they are likely to spend big on a striker and left winger as well as zubimendi so may see him as dispensable to fund their signings.
Club seems to be targeting wingbacks, he's more of an Akanji/ Stones at right back kinda player.

If they signed that twat I'd switch support to the rags!

Vanderson, what a no brainer, what are we doing.

Incredible player in tight spaces, dribbling, can overlap and invert, great passing range (lob balls to Haaland/marmoush) and switching the ball. Proper offensive fullback he’s like Hakimi x Dumfries combined. Can shoot well sometimes. And most importantly HE CAN DEFEND! He’s not a passive defender like Cancelo or Theo Hernandez. Only 30 pounds it’s a no brainer. The potential is sky high.

If not Livramento, then I expect we will be happy with Nunes as a wide RB, Lewis as a backup inverted RB, and Khus/Akanji as a defensive RB in a back 3 (this also uses more of the CBs we have).

Its clearly not ideal, and I think Ait Nouri is more important and its good to get that to free Gvardiol as a CB and not putting too much pressure on O Reilly.

Vanderson, whom I have calmoured for, probably cant fit in due to non-HG spots, but if its possible (maybe more go than expected) get him.

We if we can’t afford Livramento shouldn’t we get MGW and then get Vanderson cuz he’s 30m

My preference of high profile english HG signings is:

Livramento > Wharton > MGW.

So next in line is Wharton to me.

This has nothing to do with Vanderson though?

The cost isnt the issue, there are no non-HG spots for him unless more leave than we realize.

Well balanced take and unfortunately what will happen I think.

You like Wharton ? He’s cool forward passer but we’re so stacked in that position.

this time next season Walker Stones Grealish Ake McAtee and maybe Rico L could all be gone. So I’ll take as many HV players as we can get.

Promote JSP and spend 80 mil on Livra

Wharton is quality.

High profile creator from deep (like Rodri) with very good defensive skills.

Wharton feels like a redundant signing. For it to make real sense, we would’ve needed not to sign Nico. But with Nico already in the squad, adding Wharton doesn’t address the core issues in midfield.

Personally, I’d take Morgan Gibbs-White over Wharton—mainly because we have Nico and desperately need legs, pace, grit, tenacity and energy in the middle of the park. Without that grit, we’re still looking at a midfield that gets outrun. MGW might not be a prefered signing, and he’ll definitely be expensive, but he’s a necessary one.

If we didn’t have this homegrown HG quota issue, I wouldn’t even be considering him—but given the constraints, it makes complete sense why we’re looking at him.

As for right-back, Vanderson and Singo are my top picks. But again, the homegrown requirement shifts things. That’s why Livramento becomes not just a strong player, but also a necessary one—even if he’ll come at a premium, just like MGW.
