Been very good this season but his first 2 were disastrous. We don’t have time / wiggle room for a similar signing again.
If we’re honest about Gonzalez, he’s not good enough to boss a PL midfield and wouldn’t have gotten within a mile of any of our previous squads. A poor signing imo.
I love Lewis’ attitude and heart and the fact he’s an academy product. But again, he’s nowhere near good enough for a team wanting to win leagues and other trophies. If City put him on the market tomorrow, there wouldn’t be a single top side who’d bat an eyelid. He’d end up at a bottom half side as a squad player or abroad.

Recency bias is mad. Nico played as a one man midfield and bossed the likes of Dortmund, Madrid and Liverpool. He played a few bad games and all of a sudden he was a poor signing. He’s not a poor signing if you consider that he’s an 8 that was bought to deputise for Rodri. He’s done a very good job.
I mean yes because those players were world class and in their prime. Nico’s prime is at least two years away. At least let him develop before calling him a poor signing.
