Right back options

Why? Unless they sell White? Dont let me down Hugo!

Madrid are targeting Arsenal this summer. One of the big Madrid journalists said that they like Timber, Gabriel and Rice. And if Emery comes in Timber is who they want as the Dani replacement. Article that came out about a month ago when that article about Haaland and Madrid came out

Perez is desperate to get fans back on side. So every Madrid midfielder is up for sale this summer and the attack apart from Mbappe.

Cant lose Fresneda to fucking lego head! I assume Valverde is safe at Madrid though?

We don’t need one.

Nunes has been top this season and Khusanov can cover there if needs be.
Khusanov is not a RB, we saw how we crumbled when Nunes was out. The whole business of this player can cover this player is what led to crisis last season.

Khusanov is a fantastic reader of the game, is rapid and is aggressive. He has every attribute to be a top full back. He’d be absolutely fine there be it short or longer term.

Speed is not the be all and end all of a fullback. The best fullbacks in the world can defend and attack, I don’t see a future where Khusanov is whipping in crosses from RB

Firstly you have absolutely no idea if he has that string to his bow or not.

Secondly, full backs whipping in world class crosses is not a significant part of our system. It rarely features in our attacking play.

Third, if Nunes can convert from midfield to full back when his natural skill set never glaringly suggested he could, Khusanov with his defensive skill set, in a Pep set up, would absolutely piss it.

We also have the possibility of Victor Reis coming back who could also maybe feature at RB.

We’ll just have to agree to disagree then. I just don’t see a future for Khusanov at RB.
Yes crosses aren’t a big part of our game but the underlaps and overlaps are. I don’t see Khusanov doing cutbacks and making a 3rd man run beyond the winger.

We do need one, Khusa won't cut it in a serious manner.

I was also sorta on the Khusa as cover thing for this season because I think we all see Nunes almost as our 3rd CB while O Reilly bombs forward.

So the theory on paper makes sense, let Khusa use his recovery pace and let him play as a 3rd CB.

But it ignores all the things Nunes does as a fullback/midfielder in the 3rd CB role.

His passing and ability on the ball is miles better than Khus (and really all CBs), his ability to make wide and inverted runs and make crosses to someone in the box is top class.

These are things that simply won't be in Khusanovs locker, he's fine there in a pinch, but not a serious option next season.

We need a Nunes backup in the summer 100%.

I do agree that we need to sign as right back as there's a huge drop when Nunes doesn't play in that position.

Whoever we sign as a right back will be doing well to get in ahead of Nunes, the lad is having a cracking season, he's after making the position his own.

If we are to be looking at right backs then why not go for the best around, Any chance of getting Haikimi out of PSG?
