Right back options

Would he ?, know nothing about Palestra but Nunes is excellent at joining the 2 centre backs to make a back 3 in possesion, Pep used it a few times, its a very Maresca tactic. Is Palestra that type of fullback ?

Absolutely mate!!! More natural at it than Nunes even though he had improved, I can’t help thinking Pep was still having to work overtime with him? Not sure Maresca will want to to be honest

There is defending in this video mate and he won the Seria A defender of the season at only 21 as well?
Italian press report that he wants to remain in Italy but to play in the Champions League: with Internazionale. Atalanta rejected Internazionale’s opening offer, and while Newcastle were reportedly willing to pay the €50 million Atalanta desires, the player is uninterested in moving.
Mentioned earlier that he’s from Milan and was on their books, so with Dumfries moving, it’s probably only a matter now of the clubs agreeing a price.

Damn :-( Read it is then!

I don’t think so. Koeman has left Read and Smit at home because they’ve both gone completely off the boil and suffered injury setbacks. The idea of lavishing €20+ million on an unproven and unfit player is just not credible, to me. For a bit of perspective, Read wasn’t even in the Feyenoord squad when we drew 3-3 in 24-25, and while he’s had good moments, the injuries in a much less demanding league should have us putting the cheque book back in the drawer and locking it, firmly.

Signing someone more experienced or giving Reis game time are more sensible alternatives.

I reckon we’ll go for Gusto.
we might

its really a toss up, depends on what Maresca wants at this point

Read screams modern elite full-back, has eveything to succeed tbh, he's only weakness, from the looks of this season, is injuries, he missed 28 games this/last season

Palestra is more like safe choice, decent further up the pitch, is ok inverting, good defender, there is a lot to like, also will he stay long-term, he may get home sick as other Italians in prem

Gusto seems like right choice, Maresca knows him and what he can do, so seems like safe choice also, now it depends if Chelsea will allow for him to leave, price most likely will be up compared to other options, also there has been 0 links

Kayode is a wild card, sure he has PL experience, but he's attacking and inverting is a big question mark

Would Chelsea sell Gusto?

Just thinking that its a bit disappointing that Kayode links have died down, hes got a lot of likeable attributes

Sounds like their Dippers are going to be after a RB as well as they've been pinked to the 3 you mentioned as well

Interesting to see who goes where
After watching doku dismantle him recently I’m glad he’s gone on the back burner

I’d go for Doue. I’ve watched a bit of Strasbourg and he’s looked good whenever I’ve watched him

he is primary more of defender, but is very decent distrubuting and inverting
