Rio Ferdinand

Here's the key figures.
£76m Inherited debt

£144m Current debt

£68m Debt growth - hasn't exactly 'cleared their debt' like he tries to make out.

£0 Sports Direct payment for advertising

£8.4 NUFC paid Sports Direct in 5 years to June 2017
Why are they paying his company?

£354m Spent on players since 2007

£322m Recouped selling players since 2007

£32m Net spend on players since 2007

£2.6m Average annual net spend
This is pathetic for a PL club tbh.

£146 Season ticket increase (Gallowgate/Leazes)

£189 Season ticket increase

£82m Increase in annual media income

£6m Increase in annual wages paid

Revenue up far more than playing costs yet their debts are growing.
There's nothing to defend him about.

That's fucking terrible.

So he’s alright because there’s worse chairmen out there? Fantastic logic that is. Has he taken out of the club more than what he has put in?

Probably, but then that's what most business owners aim to do - take out more than they put in. I think that's the key thing - he's not a fan, his aim is to make money. Every football club owner's aim is to take out more than they put in - including our own owner and Abramovich. It's just that some of them have a long term plan to make money.

Newcastle fans started to hate Sir John Hall and Freddy Shepard. They hated Dalglish, Souness, Wise, Allardyce, Pardew, Roeder. They loved Ashley and only started to hate him when Wise came in.

They're always on a mission to hate but they havent got that presssure and influence like the scousers have

Im shocked Rafa stays. I dont like him an awful lot but he is a fantastic manager. Hes wasting his time there

If Pochettino goes to the Rags, would you want Rafa at Spuds?

Launched an impassioned defence of Mike Ashley, whilst having a pop at Newcastle fans.

Apparently it’s completely unrelated to the fact that Sports Direct are the “exclusive retailer” for Ferdinand’s awful clothing range.

Of course it is.
