That will already be one of the perofmances of the games, to beat a 23 year old world record by that much is unreal.
 
The suspicion is that there was a 23 year old world record. Most of the female world records have not been broken for two decades or more because of the doping that went on at that time. Thank goodness one has gone and let's hope that it has gone to a clean athlete.

Yeah, thats the way i'm taking it as well. Natural progression eventually catching up with those records, although theres a few that are a long way out there.
 
I like the way that those British supporters have parked themselves right next to Jess Ennis' coach. They've obviously sussed that she comes over to talk to him after every jump.
 
It's just a shame that the brazilian heptathlete da silva is too old to take part now. One of the best backsides I've ever seen.
 
It's scandalous how small the crowd is in the stadium given that this the Olympics.

I think I ran in front of more people at Longford Park back in the day!
 
KJT could claw some points back in this high jump, hoping she wins the heptathlon this time around.
