RIP Brian Woolnough

Brian Woolnough is dead, Kelvin"*ucking" Mackenzie is still breathing? Come on God, get a grip!
 
sad news - didnt think he loooked too well last time saw him on tv. Seemed to have lost a lot of weight. Does anyone know what he died from?
 
Always remember him saying on a Sunday Supplement years ago that he was nicknamed "Wilderbeast" by a Premier League footballer, because of his long face & hairstyle.

Stuck with me as he didnt seem to be bothered about it and dismissed his comments which showed class from him.

Dont want to mention the footballers name.
 
Really sad this, shocked by the news. My thoughts go to his family.

As said earlier, Neil ashton must have known how bad it was when he referred to Brian on the first SS of the new season - on reflection he has been presenting in a low key way since he took over.

Although I never read the daily star, I really looked forward to his appearances on 5 live on the pre-international night show, and his Hold the Back Page show from years back was excellent.
Always stood up re taggarts's antics too, unlike many other journo's.

Always remember him from that Graham Taylor Documentary trying to take the piss, and the Sunday Supplement, seemed like a nice bloke. RIP
 
RIP Wooly (aka Lamb head)

Sent him a stonkingly harsh email once for slagging City off, fair play he took it on the chin and replied back and we had a bit of banter. Thought a lot of jorno's would have just deleted the email..
