Brilliant. Never seen that video before. Warched Blondie at The Free Trade Hall in the late '70's. Great night and felt like a real rebel stood on the seats.
Was never into Blondie, great early tunes but not punk enough for me and when the disco fused Heart Of Glass and even worse The Tide Is High hit the charts I knew I was on the right road.
However, this song I loved - and still do. A killer bass line Peter Hook would have loved to have written, and behind that Clem keeping it all together in time on the sticks.
I saw Blondie for the first time 3 years ago at a festival in LA (like you do) though it was only Debbie and Clem as original members. Glen Matlock was filling in for Chris Stein who was ill. Actually, I saw them twice as it was the same line up both days.
RIP
I agree.... i just liked the tune...Jeepers, Atomic was not one of their best. The slide had started. But Burke was consistently amazing.
Except it was one if their best imo. Subjective I know.Jeepers, Atomic was not one of their best. The slide had started. But Burke was consistently amazing.
Awesome chorus certainly a better song than say Call Me !Jeepers, Atomic was not one of their best. The slide had started. But Burke was consistently amazing.

Seriously, does punky pop get any better? NO.
