Hi Folks can I offer my families and my sincere thanks for your kind messages ref my Mums sad passing and once again Blue Mooners do "look after our own" in these difficult times.

Rest in Peace Oakies mum. A bloody good life let's hope most was free of pain. Have a pint of Guinness for her
Our dear Mum (aged 96) passed away this morning after 5 nights in hospital and we were amazed that she lasted this long as we had been informed that it would just be a matter of hours initially.
She had been in a Nursing Home for 9 months having Dementia but her latest setback was no oxygen was circulating into her blood system and even at the maximum dosage the medication wasn`t working.
At least she didn`t suffer any pain and was on high doses of morphine to stop her getting agitated.
She was a star alright and very often she reminded us of Nana from The Royle Family.
RIP Mum and catch up with Dad at long last.

Deep condolences OC.
My mum is in our local hospital battling septicemea and numerous other stuff, including dementia, for two weeks. She's 84...i've had 1 night of decent sleep.
It's just harrowing at times.

She wasn`t a wine drinker mac, but she always enjoyed her Egg Flip at Christmas. After my Dad died we took Mum for a pub lunch and at 81 years of age she tried her first Garlic Bread. Garlic Bread !!!!! Very true story and she loved it but would never taste a curry of any description.
