RIP Mum (Mrs Oakiecokie aged 96)

Dementia is cruel (my mother had it in her last couple of years), but she's been released now, and can meet up with friends and loved ones in the hereafter. Think it’s an horrible disease and it can tear you apart . My mum was always frightened about getting dementia saying that she would hate not to remember anything . Still feel bitter towards the hospital as we took care of her during covid and she ended up catching it in hospital and it took her from me .

At least she didn`t suffer any pain and was on high doses of morphine to stop her getting agitated.
She was a star alright and very often she reminded us of Nana from The Royle Family.

Condolences to you and your family at this sad time. I hope you find some comfort in the fact she is now reunited with your dad and is at peace. Best wishes.
 
Good to hear she had a peaceful passing.
Such changes she must have seen in her lifetime.
Thinking of you and yours after the passing of a lady who must have been so central and important to your family xx

96 is flipping incredible mate, wow! As City fans we sometimes think we’ve seen it all, your mum definitely did! What a life, mums truly are amazing
