RIP Neil Peart

i saw them twice, on vancouver island in 1978, and vancouver in 2013, I lament not catching the 2015 show there. All around fantastic band, studio and live.
A sad day for all of us Canadians, and music fans everywhere.
Always loved it when Geddy would announce the Drum solo, " ...and now, the professor on the drum kit..."
indeed, Geddy, indeed.
RIP Professor.

Sad loss. Many won't know that Neil had a passion for cycling, specifically cycle touring. He even write a book on it, 'The Masked Rider', which is available on Amazon. Maybe it's the hours spent cycle touring which helped him to get over the tragic losses of both his daughter and his wife. Hope so. RIP Neil.

So glad I made the R40 tour now. Guess Alex and Geddy must of known as in interviews they were so adamant that Rush wouldn't tour again. God bless hope you find peace.

Well that's ruined my weekend, very sad news, like many been a fan some 35+ years, RUSH and City the only really consistent things for me since childhood. I like Big Gaz saw them in Toronto on the final tour, knowing it was the final time after many shows over the years.

To learn he had cancer only after he died just showed how private he and his band mates are, such a shame that after retirement he hasn't spent more time with his wife and young daughter.

RIP Neil, you live on in the music.

Very sad news. A great drummer. Loved listening to Rush as a teenager back in the seventies, best three piece band I can remember. Recently just started to play them again, the guy was super talented. RIP
