Not sure about that. It depends how badly we believed we need to land him. 10 or 15 million either way is peanuts these days. I think this philosophy has merit when dealing with player demands e.g. Sanchez because off the knock on effect but if we really wanted or needed him does it matter if it is 75 or 95 million.

If they are penny pinching this could bite them on the arse come the end of the season still feel we are short up front either injuries or not silly if true.

Think they need a long hard look at their transfer strategy. I thought they handled Sanchez this month brilliantly. But the handling of this has been utterly incomprehensible.

Playing bluff with such a huge difference in evaluations and making puddling increases in public every five minutes just looks a but sloppy.

If they were bringing Roberts back to sell him then they surely have to get him here now.
