Its clear you dont rate him anddont consider him improving our squad, but you have no idea whether he will be a bencher more often than not. I personally think he will play more often than not

He's. Better than Gundogwan. But so is Barnado.

Fyi I never said I didn't rate him. I just don't think he's any better than what we have and I certainly don't think he's worth £90m. What do you think he is worth?

Where did you pluck £90m from?

Hes worth what we are willing to pay, nothing more, nothing less.

As we have been courting him for for than one window, I would beg to differ on his worth and contribution

Thanks for the insight mate. It mirrors what I've thought of Mahrez for the last two seasons, & I agree that if he were a City player, I'd want our owners to make a stand & hold out for what they believe he's worth. It's just business mate & I think those calling for Leicester to cede, are just ardent fans wanting the player really badly.

One or two have made out like Leicester should just bend over & take one up the shitter just because City have come calling. That's a Raggish attitude IMO, but it probably comes with the territory of being a fan of a club who have done so well recently. Hopefully the transfer will all be sorted so Leicester are happy with their fee, & City don't feel they've been rinsed. Kia Joorabchin being the advisor to Mahrez won't endear him to City, but I believe we'll rise above that & look at the bigger picture.

What do you think of Patrick Roberts mate? Do you want him yes or no?

Have to agree with all this. It does seem that the majority of Leicester and Man City fans would be satisfied with a fee of around £75m. You’d get an outstanding player worth every penny of that (in the current market) and we get rid of a sulky bugger that can’t wait to get away from us without feeling like we’ve been absolutely shafted!

Unfortunately, I’ve seen absolutely nothing of Patrick Roberts, he seems to have been around forever. Obviously has bags of potential but if I’m honest we have 3 young players of similar ilk which I’d possibly prefer us to stick with.

Demerai Gray also seems to have been around for years. He started last season pretty well but faded badly. Brilliant at times but looks like he hates every minute he spends on a football pitch, attitude doesn’t seem the best which may hamper his development.

Fousseni Diabaté looks a great find, he’s probably only had about a dozen games but he seems to have a little more about him than Gray. Technically very good and I’m looking forward to seeing more of him next season. His first 6 months have probably been as impressive as Mahrez were and I believe he’s a couple of years younger than Riyad was when he joined.

James Maddison who’s just come in really does look like a great signing. 100% positive feedback from Norwich fans and his highlight reel from last season (albeit in the Championship) is absolutely ridiculous. I can see him being out star man next season and his creativity will go some way to replacing Mahrez.

If Roberts is valued at £15m then he could be worth the risk but it could obviously go either way. Would you say he’s worth that? Probably hard to tell with the majority of his game time being in Scotland.

If Leicester play a 4231 formation, which is looking likely then there’s plenty of space for him, the 3 mentioned above and Iheanacho to get game time, obviously with Vardy up top.

There’s been a few piss poor efforts at songs on here but the poster who came up with the Amy Winehouse ditty might really need to go to rehab.
Hello...just taking my medication
That's it! Must have been why mine was sub par. We'll, and I am not much of a songwriter.
I can’t even use beer as an excuse for lack of creative talent, I’m just shite at writing songs. Hopefully @citykev28 will show us how it’s done.

Actually, I'd be happier settling at £60m for Mahrez cash, plus Patrick Roberts bringing it to £75m. Lol :-)

Roberts blotted his cop book with us last pre-season. We wanted him to go out on loan in the PL or there was talk of a French team being interested, but he refused to consider any of them & only wanted Celtic again. We wanted him to develop which wasn't going to happen in such a dominant, one team league. Anyway we relented & he got his way, but he was injured quite early on & spent long spell out. When he came back, he was never quite up to speed, so was selected sparingly, so 3 months ago he announced that next season he wants to play in the PL.

This is why I think we're prepared to cut our losses with him, because he didn't show the right mentality to push & prove himself as we hoped. Hence he's now effectively up for sale. I like Demerai Gray & I think him & Roberts would for a devastating wing combination given time.

If he does join, I'm predicting he'll get 0.7 goals per 90 and 0.5 assists per 90

I base this on various factors but mainly on the fact that he tends to outperform his xGoals stat by a decent amount and the assumption he'll be involved with the ball in dangerous positions at least twice as much as he does with Leicester - a pretty safe assumption.
